What Does a Lookbook Photoshoot Really Cost in Brussels? Full Budget Breakdown

Lookbook photoshoot cost and budget is one of the hardest numbers to pin down in fashion photography. A full lookbook, the kind with a stylist, a model, and a coherent visual story across ten or more looks, can run anywhere from a few hundred euros to several thousand.

The three cost layers

Model and styling. A model adds a separate day rate, and a stylist, if used, adds another. Brands working with a smaller budget often style the shoot themselves, using existing team members or a friend willing to model, which removes this layer entirely.

Location and props. A studio rental, or a chosen outdoor location with the right light and background, adds a further cost depending on how elaborate the concept is.

A realistic range

A stripped-down lookbook: one photographer, self-styled, using an in-house model or willing team member, in a rented studio for half a day. This lands closer to 800-1,200€ total for around ten looks.

A mid-range lookbook with a booked model and light styling support, full day, 15-20 looks: roughly 1,800-2,800€.

A full production with a stylist, hair and makeup, multiple locations, and a larger number of looks: 3,500€ or more.

Where brands overspend without realizing it

The most common waste is not in the photography line item. It is in shooting far more looks than the brand will actually use, paying for a full day when fifteen looks would have covered the collection, or booking a model for range and versatility the brand does not actually need for a catalog that will mostly be cropped to product shots anyway.

The budget question that actually matters

Before pricing a lookbook, the real question is not how much this costs but how many of these images will actually get used, and where. A tightly scoped lookbook built around the images a brand will genuinely publish beats an ambitious one where half the shots never make it past the hard drive.
