How Much Does Event Photography Cost in Brussels? A Transparent Breakdown for Conferences & Launches

A corporate event photography quote in Brussels usually starts around 150-180€ per hour, with most photographers setting a two-hour minimum. That number alone answers almost nothing useful, because the real cost of covering a conference or product launch depends on decisions made well before the camera comes out.

What the hourly rate actually covers

The base rate typically includes the photographer’s time on-site, standard equipment, and a set number of edited images delivered within an agreed window, often one to two weeks. It usually does not include a second shooter, rush delivery, or a written recap document summarizing the event’s key moments for a press release or internal report.

The three questions that change the price

How many hours of coverage. A half-day conference of three to four hours costs less than full-day coverage across a keynote, breakout sessions, and an evening networking reception. Events running past a single shooter’s reasonable stamina, roughly six hours, often benefit from a second photographer rather than one person trying to cover a stage, a networking room, and a product demo area at the same time.

How many final images. A one-hour product launch might need 20-30 polished images for social media and a press kit. A full-day conference easily generates 150-300 usable images once speaker sessions, audience shots, and networking moments are all covered. More raw material means more editing time, which shows up in the final invoice.

How fast you need them. Same-day or next-morning delivery, useful when a press release or social post needs to go out while the event is still relevant, usually carries a rush fee on top of the base rate. Standard delivery within a week costs less.

A realistic budget range

A short product launch or press event of two to three hours, single location, standard delivery: expect the lower end, roughly 300-450€ total.

A half-day conference with multiple sessions: the middle range, 500-800€.

A full-day multi-track conference with a networking reception, second shooter, and quick turnaround: 1,000€ or more.

The part most event organizers forget to ask about

Usage rights. A photo taken at a corporate event is not automatically free to use anywhere the client wants, forever. Standard agreements typically grant usage for the client’s own marketing and internal purposes for one to two years. Anyone planning to use event photos in a national ad campaign, or license them to a partner organization, should confirm this explicitly before the invoice arrives, not after.

The photographer quoting the lowest hourly rate is not automatically the best value. The one who asks about hours, image count, and turnaround before quoting anything is the one who understands what the job actually costs.
